Listening to residents is Peter Edwards' top priority, should he be elected to represent Ottershaw at the Council.
He says: "As Surrey County Council makes improvements to the A320 between Chertsey and Ottershaw, I will work hard with County Councillor Jonathan Hulley to address traffic issues resulting from the development, and protect the beauty and character of the village. I know residents sometimes feel there are new buildings going up every five minutes. While new housing is often needed, as your councillor I will work hard to stand against any overdevelopment, and to protect the character of our village."
Peter believes in the importance of Ottershaw remaining the pretty village community that it currently is, and Conservatives would like to enhance the beauty and community spirit of the area.
He adds: "As someone with a huge respect for residents and with lots of connections to the area, I would love to bring my experience and skills to bear for the benefit of Ottershaw.
"My experience in localised culture and amateur dramatics means I want to enhance local communities; my family history and upbringing lead me to support anyone who has an entrepreneurial spirit and wants to do the best for their family. Runnymede Council has a track record of preserving and enhancing areas like Ottershaw, and I'd like to help continue that tradition."
