A tough year, but a brighter future is possible

Conservative Party leader Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch MP

July 4th used to be bad enough.

The fireworks. The memes. The endless “funny” jokes from Americans who think we still wear red coats and drink nothing but tea.

But now it’s even worse.

Because July 4th isn’t just their Independence Day anymore. It’s also the day Britain inadvertently signed a five-year subscription to economic stagnation, foreign policy weakness, and non-stop tax hikes.

One year ago, Keir Starmer’s Labour Party took over the country. And the damage is clear. Despite promising not to raise taxes, Labour hit businesses with a Jobs Tax that’s ground our economy to a halt. And hit farmers with a punitive Family Farm Tax that will force farmers to sell up to pay a crippling inheritance tax bill.

Despite promising to protect the vulnerable, Labour cut Winter Fuel Payments for millions of vulnerable pensioners.

Despite promising to “smash the gangs”, Labour have presided over record numbers of small boat crossings.

Despite promising to stand up for Britain, Labour is surrendering the Chagos Islands to Mauritius and paying billions for the privilege.

And Labour shamefully refused to initiate a national inquiry into grooming gangs until public pressure forced a U-turn.

But thanks to the support of hundreds of thousands of people like you, the Conservatives in Opposition are fighting back.

When Labour scrapped Winter Fuel Payments, we rallied over 330,000 signatures and forced a U-turn.

When they ignored the victims of the grooming gangs, we stood with the victims, forced a parliamentary vote, and then another U-turn.

While Labour may have a supermajority in Parliament, your voice still matters.

With your support we can keep standing up for Britain’s values by protecting farmers, defending pensioners, standing up for businesses, and demanding justice for victims.

While Labour stumble, Reform chase headlines, and the Liberal Democrats go along with everything Keir Starmer wants to do, we’re forcing U-turns and making things happen. But we need your help to keep up the fight.

Only if you’re able to, please chip in any amount to our campaigns today. Help us force Labour into more U-turns and build a better future for our country.
