Rachel Reeves has dangerously mismanaged our economy. And it’s working people who will pay the price.
Labour’s Jobs Tax will leave working families £3,536 worse off over the course of this Parliament. Working families will notice and won’t forget. As well as long-term pain we’re now at the start of what’s going to be a tough April for working families.
- Labour’s economic mismanagement has put the cost of living up for families by £1,191 per year on average.
- Despite promising to cut energy bills by £300, bills are now £111 a year higher.
- Despite promising to freeze council tax, council tax will increase by £109 on an average Band D bill.
- Water bills are set to increase by £123, and phone bills are set to increase by £46.
- For working parents with small children, the Jobs Tax has forced nurseries to increase fees by an average of 10%.
The country cannot afford four more years of Labour’s economic mismanagement that’s putting such a tough burden on working families. And it’s vital that we keep the pressure up on Labour to change course.
