Egham's Conservative councillor Sam Jenkins can be seen taking a set of shears to weeds in Hummer Road car park in his latest video (go here to watch it).
Sam points out that the Labour led Alliance at Runnymede Borough Council justified their recent introduction of evening and overnight parking charges on the flimsy pretence that more money could be spent on improving the facilities.
"Yet as you can see we have weeds that are literally growing as tall as I am, and plenty of potholes in the road," he said, adding: "We don't need punitive parking charges, we need hard working councillors who get the job done."
Sam then proceeds to deal directly with the weeds - council cuts that we are sure the whole community can get behind. Hopefully the evening and overnight charges will be next to feel Sam's shears!
