Welcome to the Runnymede and Weybridge Conservatives.

Philip Hammond is the MP for the constituency of Runnymede and Weybridge.  Philip is a key part of the coalition government ensuring that the financial damage caused by Labour's efforts prior to 2010 are cleaned up.  Until October 2011, Philip was Secretary of State for Transport and has since been promoted to Secretary of State for Defence.  Whilst running the Department of Transport, Philip halted the expanision of the 3rd runway, started the project of HS2 which will provide greater links between north and south England and initiated plans to increase the speed limit on motorways to 80mph.

Philip's vision of the managing the MoD will be to ensure that the nation's defences are robust whilst ensuring that the financial black hole left by the last Labour government is patched up.  Balancing the budget of the MoD is a key priority as well as delivering a sustainable budget for defence operations and defence procurement.
